Dr. Subodh K. Das

CEO & Founder

Dr. Subodh Das has over 35 years of global aluminum experience in the manufacturing and technology sectors. Prior to founding Phinix, LLC, he had also founded and served as the President and CEO of Secat Inc., Director for the Center for Aluminum Technology, Executive Director for the Sloan Industry Center for a Sustainable Aluminum Industry, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Kentucky. Subodh has also worked as the Vice President of Technology and Quality for ARCO Aluminum, Inc. and as Senior Research Scientist at Alcoa. Subodh obtained his M. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India and PhD from The University of Michigan both in Metallurgical Engineering. He also obtained his MBA at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky. Subodh holds over 20 US patents, has published over 40 papers, and edited 6 books. Subodh has served on the boards of The Aluminum Association, Secat and the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society.

Nalini S. Mahadevan

General Counsel

Nalini Mahadevan earned her JD from the St. Louis University School of Law and MBA from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. She was a partner at Lowenbaum Partnership and a founding partner at Mahadevan Law Office, LLC, both in St. Louis. She has over 10 years of experience in federal law. She is also an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University School of Law.

Eric James Dinwiddie, MBA, CRA
Director, Research Administration and Finance

With over 10 years’ experience with a large US public research university, Eric has managed and supported a team of researchers in developing, applying, and managing federal and commercially funded contracts, both Pre- and Post- award. As a Certified Research Administrator, he brings authoritative knowledge of federal regulations, proposal strategy, financial operations, and institutional policy. He has also become a trusted mentor for aspiring CRAs, designing training programs that prepare candidates for the certification exam. Eric’s work with Phinix will involve developing, submitting and managing research contracts. He will also manage the financial compliance and operations for Phinix.
