Los Angeles County Marriage License

If you're thinking about tying the proverbial knot, you'll want to know how to go about obtaining a Los Angeles County marriage license.
There are seven locations where you and your beloved can pick up your Los Angeles County marriage license. Each is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

In Beverly Hills, the wedding license office is at 9355 Burton Way. In Lancaster, you can get a wedding license at 44509 16th St. West, Suite 101. The LAX Courthouse is a popular wedding license pick-up location and is located at 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd. on the sixth floor. In East LA, get your Los Angeles County marriage license at 4716 East Cesar Chavez Ave. In West LA, you can apply for and pick up your marriage license at 7807 S. Compton Ave. Norwalk almost-weds can get a Los Angeles County marriage license at 12400 Imperial Hwy. If you're in the Van Nuys area, stop by 14340 W. Sylvan St. to apply for your license.

You and your sweetheart may apply for your Los Angeles County marriage license online. Once your application has been successfully submitted, both applicants must appear in person together at a sanctioned license location. You will each need to provide a valid form of identification. This ID can be a driver's license, a passport or an alien resident card. If either party to the new marriage has ever been married before, proof of divorce or annulment must be provided. No longer are applicants for marriage required to submit a blood test or a health certificate. You don't have to prove residency, either. By the way, if you don't apply for your license online, you must arrive at a license location before 3 o'clock in the afternoon. 

You may pay for your Los Angeles County marriage license via cash or money order made payable to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk or RRCC. You may also pay with a personal check made out the same way. Credit cards are accepted with valid identification and a $1.75 service fee.
