For the last 35 years, Adam Gesing has been offering services in strategic analysis and planning, plant technology and energy use audits, process/cost modeling, process optimization modeling, process development, sensor design, equipment and plant design, equipment and plant automation.

For the previous 30 years, Dr. Gesing worked for Huron Valley Steel Corporation (HVSC) and for Alcan International R&D. He left HVSC as Director of R&D. During his seven years with the company, he was involved in the development of scrap recycling processes, technologies and equipment, including eddy current separators, color shape and size sorters, x-ray absorption sorters, and LIBS-based Al alloy sorters and was responsible for the successful design, construction and integration of the 50,000-ton annual capacity LIBS alloy sorting plant. Over his 23 years with Alcan, Dr. Gesing worked on Al reduction and recycling, including methods for LIBS analysis for sorting of scrap by alloys.

Dr. Gesing holds a PhD in Materials Science from Pennsylvania State University, and an Honours BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
